BRIEF

With 200 new staff expected to be employed over the next two years, Blueberry Foods needed a temporary solution for their rapid growth. Design flexibility and bespoke solutions were required to ensure the building was in keeping with current facilities.

The CHALLENGES
  • Coordination with the existing facilities called for a bespoke finished cladding
  • With rapid growth on the horizon, the facilities needed to be finished within tight timescales to ensure they could fulfil new contracts
  • Food preparation hygiene standards had to be met for the production facility, which needed to get up and running to respond to their demand.
The SOLUTION

The two-storey accommodation provided the team with an air-conditioned, purpose-built kitchen and 70-seat restaurant, ensuring they had a cool and comfortable place to break out during lunch times.

Specially designed to complement the adjacent building, we used Sargasso Blue Plastisol cladding to the exterior. A seamless link section allowed for the two buildings to be conjoined, creating a walkway to ensure easy access to the temporary modules.

As their business grew and new contracts were won, Blueberry Foods had an extended need for additional accommodation, so our flexiblesolutions were able to meet their needs and help them spread costs.

Due to the longevity of the temporary building, after three years of use, the company decided to purchase it from us so they could maintain business continuity.
